Mackenzie's team, Orlando No Fear - Black, won their third straight championship. The first game was against Jacksonville Limit. Haines City pitched the first two innings and then Mackenzie came in to finish the game out with a 11-1 victory. The second game was tough. They played Team Florida and the game was 0-0 after seven innings! The game went into a tie breaker, and No Fear scored three runs in the top of the 8th. A key double play by Beck helped seal-the-deal and pull another victory for No Fear - Black. The team then advanced to the Championship game againt NFGS Thunder. The game went 0-0 until the sixth inning. No Fear was home team and held the Thunder from scoring in the seventh. No Fear was at the top of their batting order and Maddie was able to get on. Elysse sacrificed a bunt to advance Maddie to second. Chrystal was able to get a single and move Maddie to third. Chrystal stole second. One out, runners at third and second, and Courtney was able to get in the winning run with a base hit.
Marshall's team, Best 9, lost to the West Volusia Attack, but tied for third overall. The team fought to the end. West Volusia was up 2 runs and in the 5th inning, Marshall was able to start a rally be getting a single with one out. The team was then able to get more batters on base and ended up scoring two runs with two outs to tie up the game. Unfortunately, the team could not score any more runs and lost 3-2 due to a passed ball at the plate in the last inning.
Harrison had a great day being with Mom at all of the girl's games and played at the park. He enjoyed time with Kyle and Brandon . They got to swing on vines, play by a creek, and run through the natuture trail. He listened very well and checked in periodically so Mom wouldn't have to worry.
Dad has to go back to work so that he can get some rest!
