New addition to the family

The Johnsonclan has a new addition to the family - Teddy! Grandma Gostinger bred her poodle Ginger. Two puppies, Teddy (male) and Lilo (female) were born. Teddy and Lilo are cockapoos. They are extremely cute and look like twins. The Johnson kids are happy to have a new puppy in the house.

The Girls Give to Locks of Love

Kelsey and Mackenzie have wanted to get their hair cut, but dad has limited them to just 1 - 3 inches here and there. Well they asked dad if they could donate their hair to Locks of Love. How could he say no to such a sacrifice.

Mackenzie donated 10 1/2 inches and Kelsey donated 11 inches of hair. Two recipients will be very fortunate to have such beautiful hair.

Marshall makes 1st Team ALL AMERICAN!

Unbelievable! Marshall has got to be the luckiest kid I have ever known.

Each year, the most academically accomplished Pop Warner kids compete for Academic All-American status. The process begins at the association level and up through each of the eight Pop Warner regions to the national level. In 2004, approximately 380,000 kids participated in Pop Warner. 276 First Team members, over 4,200 Second Team members and 900 Honorable Mention scholars were named as Academic All-Americans at the National Level for 2004-2005.

The PWLS All-American Program requires a minimum 96% grade point average to apply for All-American status. After the applications have been processed, Pop Warner determines National First Team All-Americans (35 football, 25 cheer per grade), National Second Team All-Americans and National Honorable Mention Scholars.

Marshall is one of 35 to make 1st Team All-American.

Click here to read more about this at the Pop Warner All-American program.

HAPPY 15th BIRTHDAY KELSEY!

Kelsey turns 15 today! Hard to believe that this high school freshman is now eligible to get her learner's permit for driving! And everyone thought Bill was getting gray hair before now. Kelsey is a starter on her JV Softball team and also plays 1st base for Orlando No Fear Red. Kelsey likes to play with her new puppy Teddy and sleep whenever she isn't busy with school or softball. So far she has a 4.0 grade point average! Way to go Kelsey! She and several of her friends and family celebrated her birthday at Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure (see pictures below).

No Fear Black takes 1st !

No Fear black had a record of 5-0-1 for the weekend at Battle at the Beach in Cocoa. They walk away with a 1st place championship! A great job for their first tournament of the year. The team only gave up 5 runs out of 6 games with 4 games being complete shutouts! Great pitching by Chrytal, Lauren, Lauren and Mackenzie. Hitting was a little weak, but enough to get the team through. Fielding was incredible. An out at home by Emily, thrown all the way from center by Coutney! Incredble infield with Elizabeth at third, Mackenzie at short, and Maddy at 2nd, shut down any hope of anyone getting a chance to score. Great teamwork! Mackenzie and Maddy made a great play when Mackenzie dove for a grounder up the middle and then flipped it to Maddy for an out. Also, a textbook delayed steal by Mackenzie allowed Elizabeth to score with 2 outs on the board! This team is a first year 14s team and is dominating already.

more to come...

No Fear Red does a great job!

No Fear Red had a 2-3 record at the Battle at the Beach tournament. Not bad for the team's first appearance. Great pitching and hitting will continue to make this team strong. This team has the potental to become great.

No Fear Does It Again!

Mackenzie's team did it again! What a tournament. The 1st game on Sunday was an 11 inning, 2 1/2 hour game. The team was down 3 runs in the 9th, but came back to tie it up, and won it in the 11th inning. Uncle Steve got to be there to watch and said he was glad he made it! He ended up staying for the rest of the tournament and got to watch them win their 6th Championship. Click on the No Fear Link to the right to read more about the team. Posted by Picasa

Invitation to the Family

What you can accomplish during your lunch hour!

I have created a Blog/Website that we can all use to know what is happening. I have created a Birthday/Anniversary link, Contact Information link, and a page of links. I will invite everyone to have edit capabilities to the blog. This will allow you the ability to post messages to the blog. If you want any information removed or added to the established links, email me and I will update them.

Loss of our pet Cookie

Last night, our dog Cookie died. We are not sure of reason. We know she was not feeling well and had taken her to the veterinarian on Monday morning. She died early Tuesday morning. She was a great dog. We will definitely miss her. This is the first time the children have had to deal with death which makes it really hard.

1st Post

OK, here is my first attempt at blogging. I thought this would be a great way to let everyone know what is going on with the Johnson Clan!

What the kids are doing!

Kelsey is conditioning with the High School Fastpitch Softball team.
Winter Springs High School

Mackenzie is actively involved with Orlando No Fear fastpitch softball team. This fall they have played 6 tournaments and have been the CHampion in 5 while taking second in the other! She has also started playing volleyball (mom's favorite sport) with Indian Trails Middle School.
Orlando No Fear

Marshall is playing baseball with Winter Springs Babe Ruth and his AAU team the Central Florida Stingrays. His football team is still practicing post season for the chance to play some scrimmage games with some visiting teams.
Stingrays

Harrison finished a great 1st season with football. He was starting Center and right guard. He also played on the Stop Defensive line (they were called stop defense because they would be called in special if the opposing team got within out 30 yard line). Harrison is now being a good sport about spending the weekends traveling to his brother or sisters games.
Pop Warner Football

Stephanie and I are busy getting everyone to where they need to be. Anyone that is bored is welcome tohelp out at anytime! LOL
